Hydraulic Upgrades

High speed palletizing using hydraulics was the norm until the mid 90's. T-TEK has been working on hydraulic systems since we opened our doors in 1996. We have upgraded the hydraulic systems of many palletizers for companies such as Coca-Cola, T-TEK Hydraulic "Sled" - To Upgrade PAI Hydraulic Palletizer to T-TEK SystemPepsi, and Dr. Pepper. Our hydraulic upgrade is more than a hose and fitting replacement. We improve the hydraulic system and reduce the likelihood of future leaks. Some of the key features of our upgrade are:

Eliminate leaks:
  • We supply Parker O-Ring Face Seal fittings. O-rings take the place of metal on metal contact on cylinders, hoses or manifolds.
  • We have a Parker No Leak Guarantee for palletizer hydraulic systems.
  • All actuators are replaced; includes all valves, cylinders, and motors.
  • Superior hose clamping process extends the life of all hoses.
Reduce noise and vibration:
  • Rexroth pumps, quieter and longer lasting.
  • Vibration isolation on motor mount to limit vibration passed on to hoses and pumps, extending their life.
  • Larger motor reduces strain from marginal 15 HP to 20 HP Baldor motor.
Easier troubleshooting:
  • Single ball valve for each pump to simulate call for pressure.
  • Digital readout temperature and level switch provides 4 messages; approaching low level, too low, marginal heat, too hot.
  • Solenoid brings pump up to pressure eliminating mechanical load sense valves, a common failure point.
Easier maintenance:
  • Upgraded cylinders to Rexroth with longer lived seals. Reduces the leak down of the hoist between layers.
  • Pressure compensated flow controls on apron and end compression make tightening chains less likely to affect product handling speeds on apron/ end compression and hoist.
  • Upgraded cylinder lift boxes using bearings instead of bushings for longer life.
  • Motor and pumps located at eye level, creates flooded suction. The pump is always held primed, discouraging cavitation and extending pump life.
  • Pumps equipped with a standard disconnect valve for easy cut off if maintenance is required.
  • Filter is larger and retains smaller particles.
  • Removable drip pan with drain ball valve.

This hydraulic upgrade is commonly done on site at your production facility and can typically be done with about 3 days down time. Contact Us for details.
